Headhunting database
Join our headhunting database so we can consider you for roles, fellowships and other opportunities where your skills could help society navigate advanced AI.
We look for matches while you work. An organisation only gets in touch when we both see a fit.
Some organisations ask us to suggest candidates for roles they never advertise publicly.
Leave whenever you like. We’ll stop using or sharing your profile for future opportunities.
Add your experience, skills and preferences to your profile. You can fill it in yourself or let our AI advisor help as you chat, and edit it at any time. A fuller profile also helps our AI advisor give you more relevant job recommendations.
Organisations ask us to suggest candidates. AI compares what they’re looking for with profiles in the database and identifies possible matches. Our headhunters also review most searches.
If you could be a good fit, we may share your profile with the people selecting candidates. They review the info and decide whether to reach out.
An organisation may contact you to discuss the opportunity. There’s no obligation to reply: you decide whether to apply or take the conversation further.
Joining lets us use AI to identify possible matches and share your profile for relevant opportunities. We will not ask or routinely notify you each time we share it.
Usually someone on our team reviews the strongest matches before we share them. For some searches, we send the organisation an AI-generated list without reviewing it first. The organisation decides whom to contact, interview or hire.
You can edit your profile or leave at any time. Leaving stops future sharing, but it can’t recall information already sent.
Your current employer could find out that you’ve joined if we share your profile with them, or if you opt in to let approved hirers browse it.
For more on how we collect, use and share your information, see our privacy policy.
When we put you forward, we usually share your name, email, and LinkedIn. We typically also include a short (often AI-generated) explanation of why you might fit the opportunity.
In the Profile and Search sections of your profile, fields marked with a crossed-out eye stay with 80,000 Hours and are not shared.
We use AI to compare your profile with the criteria for specific opportunities and rank possible matches. Usually someone on our team reviews the strongest results, but in some searches an AI-generated list goes directly to the organisation.
We only work with AI providers who are contractually prohibited from using your information to train their models, and we won’t send personal data to a provider that can’t commit to that.
